Mold Masters Company is a leader in the plastics injection molding industry. We operate a large injection molding department that houses an impressive array of machines rated from 85 to 2,450 tons, which enables us to handle shot sizes from 5 ounces all the way up to 18 pounds.
Our range of production capabilities allows us to supply custom, high-quality injection molded parts to companies around the globe.
Mold Masters Company offers a full suite of services, from product design and engineering to mold manufacturing, prototyping, inspection, and inventory management. Engineered to run 24/7 lights on, our processes provide enormous production capacity and increased operating efficiency.
We also have the ability to perform Over-Molding, where we bond two different plastics within the same mold for a broad range of aesthetic and functional purposes. Capabilities include Insert-Molding for the production of plastic-metal parts as well as In-Mold Assembly, which is a multi-shot method for combining components typically assembled with snap-fits, adhesive bonding, or welding. These methods improve part quality and functionality while reducing cost.
We manufacture injection molded parts from a wide variety of thermoplastic resins. All of our parts adhere to industry standard tolerance requirements. We employ lean methodologies and process-flow manufacturing concepts to maximize resource utilization and keep costs as low as possible.
As an ISO/TS certified plastics injection molder, we are a qualified supplier to the automotive industry as well as sectors including aerospace, electronics, medical, and others that expect a consistently high level of quality from their suppliers. We offer additional services, such as mold engineering and domestic or offshore tooling to support injection molding production.

PRODUCT CAPABILITIES
MATERIALS
Flocking is the application of finely cut synthetic or nylon fibers onto an adhesive-coated substrate to alter or enhance its characteristics. A flocked finish imparts a decorative and/or functional characteristic to the surface.
MasterFlocking is a specialized flocking process that has been perfected by Mold Masters Company. This process ensures consistency between parts, quality of finish, and cleaner parts.
Our capabilities include the manual, mechanical, and robotic application of flock in a variety of fiber colors, densities and lengths. Whether you require functional or aesthetic qualities or a combination of both, Mold Masters provides customized solutions with the look, feel, and performance properties to suit your specific application needs. With the variety of options we offer, we are sure to have a solution that satisfies your requirements and fits within your budget.
We handle orders of any size, from prototypes to high production volumes. Our flocking services are ISO/TS certified and we are an award-winning supplier to the automotive industry.
FLOCKING PROVIDES
APPLICATIONS ACROSS INDUSTRIES
Applied to Many Materials:
Color Matching:
We offer exact color matching to meet your requirements, along with contrasting colors to enhance a product.Custom Masking:
We have the capacity to design and build nests and masks in-house to provide clean trim lines without any overspray.Various Fiber Lengths:
Fiber is available as synthetic or nylon in lengths of either 0.5 mm, 0.75 mm, or 1.0 mm. Different lengths of fiber can be applied to different areas of the same part.As part of our vertically integrated manufacturing services, we offer production painting with a choice of water-based or solvent-based coatings. We specialize in applying paint over plastic substrates, and our plant is equipped to handle mass production jobs as well as smaller production or prototype runs.
Our facility houses a fully automated Class ‘A’ robotic paint line outfitted with the newest technology air filtering systems and proportional mixing stations.
This assures the highest degree of ratio accuracy, and that our intelligent painting robots operate repeatably and productively. We also run a manual coating line and have seven manual paint booths. Along with conventional curing systems, we also have fast-cure infrared ovens that save energy and time. We also provide in-line surface treatment, such as flame-treating and adhesive promoter applications.
The types of polymers we commonly paint include ABS, polycarbonate, polypropylene, HDPE/LDPE, polyurethane, and other plastics. We offer an extensive selection of 1K and 2K coating systems with a range of performance and protective properties. Our coatings include flame resistant and heat resistant coatings as well as those that protect against scratching and marring. We have formulations that retain their appearance even after repeated exposure to cleaning agents, as well as those that are not adversely affected by weather extremes. If you need a particular color, we can accommodate almost any request.
All products undergo thorough pre-coating preparation which consists of cleaning, degreasing, wiping, and air blow-off. We also offer custom masking. By designing custom paint masks that fit your product perfectly, we produce precise paint edges and clean trim lines with no overspray. Paint racks are custom built in-house to ensure the highest quality and cost efficient paint application. Our processes are continuously monitored to ensure accurate and repeatable results, even over the longest production runs. We monitor color and gloss, and use other analytical or custom testing to ensure all finished products meet your specifications.

IN-HOUSE VERIFICATION
As part of our overall assembly capabilities, we are expert plastics welders. Plastic welding involves creating a molecular bond between two compatible plastics. It is a fast process, and our assembly department incorporates state-of-the-art equipment with advanced control and monitoring features.
Using a variety of plastics welding techniques on an extensive range of thermoplastic resins, we produce strong bonds that outperform snap-fit, fastener and adhesive bonding methods.
We are proficient in all of the main resistance and fusion welding methods for joining similar and dissimilar plastic materials. Along with infrared welding, vibration welding, and ultrasonic welding, our capabilities include hot stake, hot plate, and hot air cold stake welding. Ultrasonic welding is one of the most common plastics joining methods. Using acoustic energy to create friction and generate heat, parts are fused together quickly, with no visible seam. Vibration welding is a similar process applicable to larger parts, and it allows for welds on internal walls. Infrared welding is a clean process and suitable for complex part geometries, while hot plate welding is easily adaptable for use on materials with different melt temperatures. Each of our welding processes has advantages based on the materials involved and the size and shape of the part. Our experts are always ready to explain the various methods and help identify the best choice for your project.
Many of our welding processes are highly automated, and we build all of the required fixtures in-house. We also design and create product-specific work cells that incorporate vision systems, color-sensing, and error-proofing systems to ensure the highest level of product quality. Our quality technicians perform destructive pull testing for every project and document all the results.
